Georgia native Omari Hardwick is starring in Starz new drama created by Courtney Kemp Agboh and produced by the rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. The show’s following Hardwick’s character James ‘Ghost’ St. Patrick, the owner of a New York night club, catering to the city’s elite while living a double life as a drug lord. The series cast also includes Luis Antonio Ramos, Adam Huss, Lucy Walters, Vinicius Machado, and Leslie Lopez.
During a Q&A session after a screening of the first episode of “Power” at Duluth Studio Movie Grill last month, Hardwick said, “I was always extremely aware of my talent level. I often ran from positions of No.1. I was comfortable leading from No.2.”
He has played a variety of supporting roles in films and TV shows. His previous credits include his role as Gabrielle Union’s husband in the BET original series “Being Mary Jane,” as well as TNT’s TV series “Dark Blue” as Ty Curtis and “Saved” as John “Sack” Hallon. Along with TV series roles, Hardwick played Chopshop Jay in “The A-Team” film, Sergeant Marcus Williams in “Kick-Ass,” and many others.
