July 11, 2016

Georgia is now ranked the #3 top production center in the world, and with so many projects filming at once, it can be hard to keep up. Each day, crews are out hitting the pavement all across Georgia, utilizing the state’s diverse location opportunities, from cityscapes to mountains to beaches. Here are some of the most exciting projects filming in Georgia right now:

Spider-Man: Homecoming

Local comics fans are rejoicing at the knowledge that this project is filming in Atlanta. Photos have already leaked of the cast and crew at work, including leading man Tom Holland sporting his beloved Spider-Man costume during some potential action scenes. The production is set up at Pinewood Studios in Peachtree City, as well as at Grady High School downtown.

Step Sisters

This upcoming comedy, starring Megalyn Echikunwoke and Eden Sher, revolves around an African American sorority girl, who in order to get into the law school of her dreams, must teach a group of white sorority girls how to “step.” Film crews have been spotted in East Cobb, Mableton, and Midtown.

Fast 8

The latest installment of the Fast and Furious franchise has been filming all over Atlanta. There have been sightings of filming taking place in Doraville, Cumming, Perry and more. However, this film is also sharing production time with a handful of other cities and countries.
