WIFTA will host a clinic on legal and business issues in film and television on September 24th and 25th.
Panel topics include proprietary rights, the changing economic rules, and risk versus reward, featuring a variety of panelists from multiple firms and counsels, along with Casey Bloys (President of Programming, HBO). The keynote will be presented by John Cones, a renowned expert in film finance, as well as an author and lecturer working in the broad field of film finance, focusing on the legal work associated with investor-financing of independent entertainment projects and business start-ups.
Saturday will host all 3 of the panels from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., as well as the keynote. On Sunday, WIFTA members who presubmit will receive free legal consultations. Presubmission is required, so act fast to gain that perk!
