Netflix to Add Atlanta-Filmed Black Panther

Black Panther is to be released for unlimited viewing on Netflix

The box office smashing Black Panther from Marvel Studios is to be released on Netflix. The popular streaming company has added many hit Marvel movies, and is finally adding Black Panther to its catalogue. The hit movie was filmed in Atlanta, contributing $84 million dollars to Georgia, and employing over 3000 people between 2016 and 2017. The comic turned filmed was one of the highest grossing films of all times, crossing the $1 billion mark at the box office within the first month of release. 

 

The film stars Chadwick Boseman as the leader of Wakanda and the Black Panther. The story ties in with another Marvel success, Avengers: Infinity War. Netflix is now giving any subscribers the opportunity to view the film free as part of their subscription starting September 4th. Fans of Atlanta-filmed work can also enjoy season 8 of The Walking Dead which will be added to Netflix on September 23rd.
