The Peachtree Village International Film Festival returns this October

PVIFF is a major film festival previously known as the Sweet Auburn International Film Festival. It is hosted by The African American Cinema Gallery & Gipp. Museums Inc., and has been attracting international film lovers since 2006. The event will showcase work of all kind including shorts, features, music videos, screenplays, and documentaries. In addition to screenings, the festival will offer workshops, parties, panels, and celebrities. The vision of the event is to be the "village" it takes to foster a goal and development of a successful film career.

 

There are over 3 dozens screenings for all tastes, many with a special consideration for including of minority actors. Four panels will be taking place over the course of the event covering being cast, music in film and television, getting your project to be picked up, tackling finances and distribution. These panels include successful actors, directors, producers, composers, writers and more. Panel leaders include Daryl Simmons (Grammy winning song writer, producer, composer), James Brown (film, tv, and music producer), Erica Ash (actress/comedian), and Danielle King (assistant director, producer). 

 

The PVIFF will take place October 11-14th
