$50,000 of film equipment was stolen in Atlanta

Breaking film news in Atlanta as police are searching for two thieves who broke into a truck and stole $50,000 of equipment used in the Atlanta film industry. The truck driver is an independent contractor whose vehicle was struck during the day in parking lot. Currently the owner is offering a $5,000 reward for any information leading to the return of the equipment. Much of the equipment, which is used on Georgia filmed productions, will be unusable by those uneducated in film equipment. Members of the industry should keep a keen eye for any suspicious new sales of such equipment by non film industry members. Please be safe this holiday season, and remove all valuables from your vehicles.

If you have an information, you are asked to call Atlanta police at 404-614-6544.
